Dodgers Nation Pitching Philosophy

LI Dodgers Na-on believes in the development of the whole pitcher, starting with basic arm mechanics and arm care at a young age. As we work with each pitcher, our focus is on repeatable mechanics. Each pitcher is trained to use their attributes to create a fluid and consistent delivery.

Coaching Staff

The Pitching program is under the direction of Coach Jon Zaccaro who is the Head Varsity Coach at Lynbrook High School. Coach Zaccaro brings 25+ years of experience working with middle school, high school, and collegiate pitchers. The pitching instruction is lead by Coach Mike Narbutt who runs the club’s pitching clinics and winter pitcher training. Coach Narbutt is joined by a top notch staff including Niko Dovas, Chris Pupa, Nick Wendling, and Brandon Cruz.

Program

The Dodgers Na-on Pitching Program is a full year comprehensive program that includes Arm Care education throughout the fall and winter, early fall Throwing Program, late fall Pitching Clinics, weekly Winter Pitching Workouts, and in – season monitoring of our pitchers. Our off- season clinics and workouts focus on arm care, mechanics, leg and core strength, and pitch targeting including correct and monitored instruction of off-speed pitches. Coach Zaccaro is also Certified with the Rapsodo pitching technology. Pitchers will have the opportunity to have all pitches analyzed and evaluated using Rapsodo, with a detailed analysis report that is used to develop each pitcher throughout the fall and winter. The Pitching staff is also available for pitching lessons throughout the year. Please contact Coach Zaccaro for lessons or questions through email: jzac5@yahoo.com
